Who we are

Woodside Garage (Newmills) Ltd, Hyde Bank Road, New Mills, High Peak SK22 4BW. We are the data controller for information collected on this website. You can contact us about anything in this notice by emailing Sales@WoodsideGarageNewMills.co.uk or calling 01663 743897.

What we collect and why

Enquiry form

When you send an enquiry we receive your name, email address, phone number (if given) and your message. We use these only to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry or booking. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before carrying out work for you. We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up work, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

MOT & service reminders

If you sign up for reminders we store your name, email address, phone number (if given), vehicle registration and your MOT and/or service due dates. We use these only to email you a reminder 30 days and 7 days before each date. The lawful basis is your consent. Every reminder email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. When you unsubscribe we stop sending reminders straight away, and we will delete your details on request.

Emails and phone calls

If you email or phone us directly we use your details to deal with your request and any work we carry out on your vehicle, and keep records as required for accounting and legal purposes.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or share your information for marketing. Your data is stored on our website hosting in the UK (Fluent) and our email provider, who process it on our behalf. We will only share information with others where the law requires it.

Cookies, analytics and third-party content

We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit our website and which pages they look at, so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you visit, roughly where you are (to town or city level), and the type of device and browser you use. It does not tell us who you are. You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not use advertising cookies. Some pages show content from other services, such as our Google reviews and Google Maps; those services may set their own cookies when their content loads. Security cookies are used for logged-in site administrators only.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time (for example by unsubscribing from reminders). To make a request, email or call us using the details above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
